At World Tourism Day, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar inaugurated the Punjab Tourism App on Sunday that is available for Android and iOS. In this app, they provided many beneficial details for helping and guiding the tourist. Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) provided about 511 information on tourist spots and other details related to routes and hotels etc.
This app is beneficial for the tourist to show his complete location. It can point out from the initial to the final destination. Citizens can get online information related to their tour through this app.

E- Payment Service
Punjab Tourism App also provides e-payment facilities. Now online booking is possible for tourists. DTS system app is introduced for the tour operators where all tourists can compose online registrations. They introduced e-payment in this app because they want to transfer tourism as an industry. Tourism always supports socio-economic development and the best source of income for locals. This e-payment service can also generate online business.
“Buzdar said that beautiful places in Pakistan always attract tourist and it is among the priorities of the government to promote the sectors besides providing essential facilities to them.”
This brings a new change in Punjab’s Tourist platform. About 179 rest houses across Punjab have been opened for citizens. It brings a crowd of tourist in Punjab which results in development of economy.
Employment Opportunities
Punjab will be twisted into the center of tourism under the management of Prime Minister Imran Khan as Punjab has great prospects in this regard. The promotion of tourism will facilitate new employment opportunities. Earlier Sindh Government introduced SINDH TOURISM DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION on November 01, 2019. That Sindh Corporation provided many jobs. Same as Punjab Tourism App also facilitate their citizens. There is a chance for Punjab Government to provide this nation with livelihood. More employment opportunities make Punjab developed as Punjab province is full of Historical places, culture, ancient civilization, and spirituality that attracts tourists.

Later a meeting was held on the promotion of tourism under the chair of the chief minister. This meeting was based on the silent features of the Punjab Tourism App. Adviser to the chief minister on tourism Asif Mehmood, Chief Secretary, Punjab Information Technology Board Chairman, Principle Secretary to the Chief Minister, TDCP Managing Director, and official concerned attended the meeting.
